Exciting times

The spring of 2013 will be a very interesting time for One Nordic.

On Monday the 14th we pre-launch our new lounge chair by Luca Nichetto. It will be shown as part of the Das Haus initiative during IMM Cologne. The chair is called Hai (Finnish for Shark). By bringing on Luca we wanted to add an additional dimension to the brand. The result is a product with its inspiration in the Nordic design heritage, mixed with the characteristic design style of this great Italian designer. We love the result. If you are at IMM Cologne, please go see it at Das Haus (hall 3.1)

After Cologne the final preparations for Stockholm will begin. We will have a stand at the Stockholm furniture fair (A07:20), where we will release several new items. In addition we will take part in the Form US With Friends initiative; In the heart of Stockholm, at Birger Jarlsgatan where we will launch our new lamp series designed by FUWL.

Great week in Stockholm

The Verso story

I had two starting points for this project: I wanted to design a bookshelf which can be manufactured using as little material as possible. Secondly, I wanted the form of the bookshelf to represent a new, fresh way of thinking about furniture. I was consciously trying to avoid traditional solutions and to study what a bookshelf is at its simplest.
