Pal Stool

This stool is a great extra piece of furniture for your home, it is beautiful to look at and it doesn't take up much space. It is very practical when you need that additional seat, and easy to put away when you don’t.

When Norwegian designer Hallgeir Homstvedt was a kid, he tried to make his own skateboard by bending a piece of plywood. Years later, this experience was the inspiration for the stool Pal. The legs of the stool are bent and placed on the outside perimeter of the seat, making them really strong even though they’re only 11mm thick.

The x-shaped joint for easy assembly makes flat-pack shipping possible, without compromising the quality of the product. Pal comes with a beautiful lacquered ash finish and is manufactured in Sweden.

After completing his degree in Australia in 2006 Hallgeir Homstvedt returned to Oslo to join the celebrated design studio Norway Says, where he would stay for three years. He left to open his own design studio in 2009, focusing on furniture and product design. Today Hallgeir has pieces in production with Established & Sons, Lexon, as well as other manufacturers in Norway and internationally.
